Of course. There is Tog Duck ( The giant duck one) and then there is Tog Bot which is a little line following robot. I am terrible with coming up with names. Have you got any good robot names in mind ?

So far I didn’t give names to any of my robots but if you have good suggestions I will consider them next time 😉

Yea – generally I/my team name our robots. A few years ago we built a robot to help an irish teenager with no arms or legs – see http://www.irishtimes.com/news/ireland/irish-news/robbie-the-robot-to-be-unveiled-at-tcd-1.1733463
WE called it Robbie after a robot in a Issac Assimov short story from the 50s. This story is about the connection a little girl has with her robot minder – you should read it – its awesome.
In general robot names are anagrams for things – this is really popular. For example the robot that we built at NASA was called GROVER – after ‘Goddard Remotely Operated Vehicle for Exploration and Research’. Our most recent robot is called WIP which is short for ‘Work In Progress’ – this is a funny name and we called it this because the robot seemed to take forever to build!

Where I work we don’t have Robots but we name a lot of things after star wars. Even our meeting rooms are called “Vader room” “Leia Room” and the smallest room is the “Yoda room”
