So many! Inn a software engineer so I really admire websites built that work for millions of people all over the world like Google Search, Facebook and Twitter

Look all around you, most things are made by engineers. This laptop I am typing on, this website you are reading this text on. All engineers. My favorite has to be the internet. It helps us all to talk to one another,

Sure. The best things in my opinion are the internet and the search engines that allow you to find what you are looking for. The are so many things though . Just look around you.

Engineers are not NEARLY as famous as they should be. You dont learn about them in school and often companies take credit for their work. Its not fair in my opinion. If Leonardo Da Vinci was around today (he was more famous for his engineering than his art when he was alive), he would probably work for Google and nobody would have a clue who he was.
The media need a kick in the a*s to start giving better coverage to engineers. They should be taking much bigger efforts to publicise inventors and the work they are doing. This may sound silly but there was a time in history where engineers and inventors were the big celebrities. Check this out – the first one way street was in London outside the Royal Society where scientists/engineers of the day met to showcase their work. The one way was invented as a means of crowd control. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/science/6971730/The-Royal-Institution-must-be-saved.html
