• Question: How long was ur longest project

      That is probably my current one which started as a Bachelor Thesis 2 years ago. I am sure some of the other engineers have longer projects to show of 😉

      As a software engineer most of my projects never really finish! You keep adding more and more features and making web applications bigger and better.

      Ehm….Almost 2 years my master project and now my PhD i.e. a project of 4 years!!

      As Sarah said, in work you jut keep adding to a project , making little bits of it better year after year. I have been working in my current role for 4 years. I have seen a whole of change in the product since then.

      I guess you could say my PhD project – it took over 4 years to get all of the work done in order for me to get awarded my degree. And for the most part, I worked 7 days per week and 10hrs+ per day over this period. There is a famous book by a guy called Malcolm Gladwell about achieving mastery in a craft. He says that it takes most people 10000 hours of work to reach a mastery level. I try to work as though he is right
