My robot tend to be made just for fun. Like what is the point of a giant controlled duck. https://www.tog.ie/2014/08/tog-duck-goes-to-emfcamp/
No point at all but it was a whole load of fun.

I have not yet finalized a really clever robot. The current one we’re working on will be clever once it is finished. It will recognize people which is an easy task for humans but a difficult one for machines.

The last one we developed (called WIP) is really smart – it can do the following:
      * make a map of a room using sensors and then figure out where it is within the map
      * navigate from one part of a house to another, detecting and avoiding obstacles along the way
      * recognize people’s faces, and based on who the person is, they act appropriately
      * recognise common household objects on a table
      * understand basic speech commands such as “go into the kitchen and get me a bottle of water”

There are a few more things we programmed it to do – if you are interested let me know and I’ll tell you!
