Some (not most) colleges require you to have honors maths to study computer science. I didn’t need to study any others to get in to my course I just needed the points!

To get into my course I need Honors Maths and one science subject.
I failed Irish at the leaving cert. That ment I could not go to an NUI universities as they require a pass in Irish. I went to DCU that does not require it.

I did English, Irish, History, French, Accountancy, Physics, Maths and Applied Maths (I had to do it after school as there was no class in it).

In secondary school – math, physics, applied math, chemistry, english all have good (but not vitally important value). When you get to college, you will study a very wide range of subjects depending on what type of engineering you decide to do. For example, a civil engineer might study structures and soil mechanics where as a electronic engineer may study circuit design and microprocessor architectures.
