• Question: When you were in NASA did you do any work on the MARS projects

      hey,
      kind of. I helped out on a project that was trying to develop a team of small robots that would be sent to mars. the basic idea was that a coordinatated team of small robots might be better able to explore mars than a single big robot. I didn’t really spend a lot of time on this though. The main project I worked on was developing a robot that could navigate around Greenland measuring the thickness of the ice using a technology called ‘ground penetrating radar’. Believe it or not its just as difficult to design a robot for an environment like Greenland than it is for one like mars!
      What was cool about the Greenland project is that the robot was actually commissioned and sent out – I’m very proud of this.
