Because I will answer all your questions as good as I can 😀

The money will be used to encourage students to get into engineering. In particular I would like to wake girls’ interest in engineering to balance the gender ratio.

I volunteer to help students like you learn how to code and take part in a massive competition called Coolest Projects for the last few years. I would love your vote to support Coolest Projects this year and my work in inspiring others to study Computing like me!

Vote for me because I really really really want to win. I’ve so many cool ideas. I want to make a million projects and I want to get kids into making because it’s so much fun.
I make cool projects like – The Bone Conductor aka Skull radio. How cool does that sound. It’s where you bite down on a straw and you can hear music.

I run events for everyone. Last year I ran Dublin Maker. A one day event that showcased making to over 12, 000 people. I just want everyone to get back to making real things.

My big thing is to make a podcast. In my opinion engineering doesnt get nearly as much attention in the media as it should. And while science is great, it really irritates me when they take credit for engineering discoveries. All the time, newspapers and tv report things like ‘scientists from MIT have invented a new material…’ – sorry these people are engineers not scientists [rant over – haha]
I think it would be cool to have a podcast where the hosts talk about engineering and tech without being preached at. Therefore the podcast wont be some educational resource (sorry teachers) where people explain things in detail. Instead it will just be discussions between really interesting people about whatever interests and fascinates them. And people will be able to email in with questions and things to talk about. It will probably be alot like this actually.

I’d also like to develop my website so that I can communicate my work and share resources with people to help them build robots. Obviously all of this would be free.
So if you want that vote for me.
